See “Toy Story 3” under the stars

8 p.m. Aug. 23
campus amphitheater

Enjoy a free outdoor movie hosted by the Office of Student Involvement at 8 p.m. Friday in the amphitheater. Tickets are limited to four per person. Pick them up at OSI. Bring blankets for a big-screen showing of “Toy Story 3.” Pack your snacks—no alcohol, please—and watch as the toys are mistakenly delivered to a day-care center instead of the attic, right before Andy leaves for college. It’s up to Woody to convince the others that they weren’t abandoned and to return home.

Is your directory listing accurate?

directory profile

Each of us is responsible for our own directory information. Now is a good time to make sure your entry is up to date. Please double check your title (please use your official, university title). And please update your location if you have moved.

Updating your directory entry is easy:

  1. Log into the directory website at http://directory.vancouver.wsu.edu/user with your network ID and password.
  2. Click the gray tab labeled "Profile" (NOT "Edit").
  3. Adjust any information that needs updating, scroll to the bottom of the page and click save.

If you need to create a new directory entry, follow the online instructions.

See article below regarding headshots. If your directory entry needs a new photo, the Office of Marketing and Communications can help.

Do you need a good headshot?

headshot with nice depth of field

Note the headline. It’s not asking if you have a headshot. It’s asking if you have a GOOD headshot. If you are currently using a snapshot from your vacation, a cellphone photo or a cartoon on your directory entry, you do not have a good headshot.

Contact Laura Evancich, graphic designer in the Office of Marketing and Communications, at 6-9602 or by email to arrange a photo session. A photographer will take your photo for the university to keep on hand for press releases and other marketing materials and give you a copy for the directory and other needs. You know who you are! Buck up and book an appointment.

To qualify, you must track your alternative commutes at least twice a week during the campaign timeframe. Contact Katrina Long at 6-9002 with any questions.

Correction

The phone number for Renny Christopher, vice chancellor for academic affairs, was misprinted in last week’s FYI. Her phone number is 6-9583. Her title was also misprinted. She is, indeed, vice chancellor for academic (not student) affairs.
