Private Lesson Development

We are extending our teaching team so we can offer more 1:1 or small group lessons. We can now offer:

  • 1:1 singing
  • 1:1 acting for stage and screen
  • 1:1 Dance classes
  • Small group dance classes
  • Small group singing
  • Audition preparation
  • All of the LAMDA exams
  • NEW Pop Vocal tuition classes
  • NEW: Guitar lessons

You will be able to book sessions on our new online system. The company we are using had a slight blip when we launched in November, but we are assured their IT issue is now resolved. We are going to launch at the end of December so you can book private lessons (which would make a lovely Christmas gift!)

If you would like to discuss private lessons, please contact kwall@artsed.co.uk

New Staff

Harriet Roberts

We are thrilled to welcome Harriet Roberts to the ArtsEd EXTRA team! Harriet has been part of the music industry as a vocal artist and a songwriter for decades. She was signed to Warner Brothers in the UK and Atlantic Records in the USA, and she has performed all over the world, working with the likes of Tina Turner, Quincy Jones, Gloria Gaynor, Jennifer Rush and many more! Harriet will be offering 1:1 and small group pop singing lessons and mic technique lessons during Saturdays and certain days in the week.

Jonathan Kirwan

We're very excited to welcome Jonathan Kirwan to the team! Jonathan is available to teach Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Classical Guitar, Bass Guitar, Double Bass, Ukulele, Mandolin, Music Theory, Composition and Songwriting.

He has worked extensively in music education as an instrumental teacher, ensemble conductor and classroom Music teacher. Since 2015, he has been Head of Music at Cannon Lane Primary School. Jonathan has a passion for promoting instrumental music within schools and has delivered seminars on this topic for local music services.

He has a 100% pass rate for students entered into ABRSM examinations and has prepared students for music scholarship applications, with many successes.

The Lord Mayor's Show!

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to all of our young people involved in The Lord Mayor's show on 10 November; they were a real credit to ArtsEd Skills Academy. The military who were marshalling on the day commented on how wonderful the students were and how well they reacted to the crowds. Their brilliant costumes were designed by Jo Irvine and were inspired by "Careers of the Future".

Holiday Courses

EASTER 2019

We would like to let everyone know that ArtsEd Extra will not be running Easter courses this year.

We are very excited about our major building project, which will provide students with world-class facilities that match the exceptional quality of our teaching. Inevitably there will be disruption to our schedules as the majority of the building work is planned to take place from June 2019 onwards.

However we are already planning a full programme of ArtsEd Extra courses for Summer 2019. These will take place at a variety of different venues around West London, including Richmond, Acton and Chiswick. We look forward to telling you all about them.

As a thank you for your loyalty and understanding in this exciting period of development at ArtsEd we will be offering 10% off a summer course to previous Easter course bookers. Please email - jgoodwin@artsed.co.uk and a code will be sent to you.

Watch this space for further details of our summer programme.

A Little Christmas Gift...

ArtsEd has been nurturing exceptional talent for almost 100 years. Right now, our alumni are shaping the UK’s cultural landscape across every facet of the performing arts.

We want to keep making young peoples' dreams come true, so this Christmas, why not make a little donation to ArtsEd and support us in helping more and more talented young people into the industry.
