2nd Grade eNews

• Bible - We will study Elijah. Our story will come from I Kings 17:1-16.
• Memory Verse - Philippians 4:19, “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
• Reading - We will be reading a story called “Schools Around the World” and discussing main idea and details.
• Spelling - This week we will be working with two syllable words with a final stable syllable. The first syllable has a vowel followed by a consonant and will be a closed syllable. The second syllable will be a final stable syllable - consonant and then le.  Here are some examples:  rumble   tangle   simple   bundle  
• Grammar - Quotation Marks
• Math - Continue to work on addition and subtraction families through 15, clocks to five minute intervals, elapsed time, and interpreting word problems to solve.

The 1st Annual Elementary Christmas Ornament Fundraiser is going on now!  Because of the generosity of a Shiloh Family, 100% of the profit from the proceeds will go toward 27 new laptops for the Elementary Computer Lab. 

Five beautiful clear acrylic designs are available and are $15 each.  Order forms are available in the Elementary office, and are due by November 15.  Orders will be delivered to the school on December 6.

• November 4-15 - Purchase Shiloh ornaments to raise money for elementary computer lab. Ornaments will be delivered on December 6th.
• November 11 - For Veteran’s Day, send foot powder and lip balm for the troops at Fort Drum.
• November 12 - Pancake Supper/Blue Gold Basketball Game 5-7
• November 25-30 - Thanksgiving Break - No School!
