February is American Heart Month as well as National Children's Dental Health Month!
Heart Smart
Did you know that cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States? According to the American Heart Association, heart and blood vessel diseases take a life every 36 seconds! A heart attack occurs when blood flow to the heart is cut off for a long enough period of time to cause damage to the muscle. If blood flow is not restored quickly, that portion of heart tissue may die.
