One of the largest one day agricultural shows in the country, The Surrey County Show, Stoke Park, Guildford, has a range of fun activities for the whole family with the Flying Gunners military motorcycle display team, pony scurry racing, show-jumping, pony club games, sheep dog and gun dog demonstrations, food and cookery theatre and a woodland arena with Welsh Axemen. Phew, it will be exhausting but great fun!

The Mad About Bats event at Nower Wood, Leatherhead, is plenty of fun for both adults and chldren. During the wild event the whole family will have the chance to come and hear the bats using a bat detector, with batty slides and a talk. The minimum age for the event is 7 years and under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear suitable clothing and bring a torch.

The Mill Studio at Guildford's Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford, will be presenting a fantastic production of Elmer the Elephant. Audiences will be whisked away to a land of fantasy and make believe with this bewitching musical adaptation of David McKee’s Elmer the Elephant. Told with breathtaking puppets, original music and stunning scenery, this heart-warming and funny story will thrill all who experience it.

Almost half of all children will see their parents divorce before they are 16 according to a new survey. The figures released by the Centre for Social Justice show that a shocking 48% of children will have to experience a family breakup. This is a number that has increased by 40% in the last decade. The survey has also revealed that 46% of children are now born to unmarried mothers.
