Last Chance to Win Prizes

You still have a few hours to fill out the annual customer survey. We will close it at 5:00PM today.

All survey participants have a chance to win a $100 American Express gift card, as well as other assorted prizes.

This survey helps us ensure we continue to provide the highest quality service and improve our products.

Unsure if you need a diligent effort form or just a disclosure form?

Some coverages require a diligent effort while some only require a disclosure form. There are also some coverages that are exempt from both.

Refer to the Diligent Effort/Disclosure Matrix when you're unsure.

The Diligent Effort/Disclosure Matrix is a valuable tool that was developed for the purpose of providing guidance on the diligent effort or disclosure requirement for each line of coverage, for both residential and nonresidential placements. This matrix has been approved by the Florida Department of Financial Services.

Retail and surplus lines agents should use the matrix as a reference tool for assistance with the diligent effort and disclosure laws pertaining to Florida surplus lines placements.

Coming This Summer

The information in the Diligent Effort/Disclosure Matrix will become part of the Tax Estimator tool on FSLSO.com and in SLIP.

Based on the coverage you choose in the Tax Estimator tool, the system will not only tell you the tax costs, but also whether or not a diligent effort or disclosure form is required.

FSLSO staff attended The Florida Association of Insurance Agents annual convention last week.

We had a great time meeting and speaking with agents from all over the state. It was such a fun event and we can't wait to do it again next year!
