Arctic coastal fog from satellite remote sensing analysis (MSc or PhD)
Arctic land-terminating glacier changes and related surface mass balance (PhD or PDF)

Mitacs Accelerate PhD Fellowship

Three-year fellowship valued at $30,000 per year
Fellows and faculty apply their expertise to new challenges
Long-term research project with a non-academic partner

Registration for the Summer 2015 semester is now open and registration for the Fall 2015 semester will be open from Thursday, April 16 at 8:30 am to Tuesday, September 15 at 11:30 pm.

Instructional Skills Workshop

All Graduate Assistants should plan to attend this four day/28 hour boot camp workshop.

The workshop takes place in a confidential, supportive environment. First developed in British Columbia in the late 1970s, the ISW is now used at universities and colleges across Canada as an important component of their faculty development programs. More

2015 ASTech Award nominations

Nominations opened April 1 for the 2015 ASTech Awards, which are presented yearly to recognize outstanding innovation in science and technology in Alberta. Learn more about the awards on the ASTech Foundation website.

Several members of the U of L community have received ASTech Awards, including Dr. Igor Kovalchuk, who received the 2013 Innovation in Agricultural Science Award from ASTech for his research in epigenetics. More
