New Initiative for the 2013 SA Tourism Awards

All non-accredited first time nominees into the SA Tourism Awards will have the opportunity to become tourism accredited.  The accreditation fee (normally from $250) is included in the Awards nomination fee.

 

Once accredited you will also be recognised as a SATIC Member.

SA Tourism Student of the Year

This new category will acknowledge an outstanding tourism student and their commitment to the tourism industry in South Australia.  Students can be nominated by all tourism industry training sectors including universities, TAFE and private providers.

 

Thanks to Skal and Air NZ, the winning student will earn a place in the Skal International Adelaide Tourism Student Exchange program.

Tourism and the Federal Budget

The latest Federal Budget maintains support for Tourism Australia and its efforts to market Australia to the domestic and international markets as well Asia with $12.5k for the Asia Marketing fund.

 

Matched funding for operators through the T-QUAL and Tourism Industry Regional Development Fund grant programs will continue in 2013-14 with $18.7m dedicated to develop quality tourism products.
