SustainAbility Vice President Michael Sadowski interviewed B Lab co-founder Bart Houlahan about the significance of new benefit corporation legislation which passed into law in Delaware this month.

The new legislation allows Public Benefit Corporations (PCBs) to be formed and managed for the benefit not only of stockholders, but also for public interest. Delaware is the 19th state to enact benefit corporation legislation, but as legal home of nearly two-thirds of the Fortune 500, it is the most isignificant to date.
