The ads raised concerns about sexual activity, sexualised imagery, and sexualised language. All Ad Standards Community Panel determinations are published online at www.adstandards.com.au Most complaints about manscapingThe most complained about ad in Ad Standards’ 20-year history is for a wagering advertisement showing a man naked from the waist up presumably ‘manscaping’. Over 6,600 complaints were received in total in 2018 which was also a new record. A third of these related to advertisements in the top 10 most complained about ads of 2018 list. Good for business Advertisers can access online resources and tailored face-to-face training about the advertising codes and the self-regulation system administered by Ad Standards, Australia’s independent advertising complaints adjudicator.
