Get Cracking on your Socials

Midsumma Festival kicks off in less than three weeks! Now is the time share your event on your social media to your followers. The best way for us to see and share your content is by tagging us in your posts and stories. The Midsumma Festival tags are; Instagram: @midsummafestival
Facebook & Twitter: @midsumma

Facebook allows you to schedule content, so you can get prepared in advance. Schedule some content for your event, so you're don't need to frantically post. To schedule content, create your content, then click the Schedule icon (it looks like a clock) instead of Post. Check out more social media tips for via our Media and Publicity Guide under the Social Media tab.

Acknowledgement of Country

Midsumma Festival encourages you to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land at the beginning of your event. This can take place as a verbal acknowledgement, prerecorded or as a written acknowledgement. Check out our Acknowledgement of Country resource for more info.

Journalist Contacts

By now you should have completed your Media Release and uploaded it to Eventotron - if not, get on it ASAP (check out our Media and Publicity Guide and head to the Media Release tab if you need help creating yours).

Although Midsumma Festival will utilise your Media Release we also encourage you to build your own media lists and start circulating your media release independently. Start by using our list of Journalist Contacts.
Send your media release to newspapers, bloggers, radio shows and more.
You are part of an amazing festival so take advantage of the hype.

Are You Ready To Be COVIDSafe?

COVID-19 has had a major impact on how we produce events. The Victorian State Government has made it mandatory for public events to put measures in place to minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

Midsumma Festival has put together a handy document to assist you in navigating your responsibilities as an event producer to make sure your event is COVIDSafe. Check it out below and get ready to present a COVIDSafe event at Midsumma Festival!  Read our COVIDSafe Resource HERE.

Public Liability Insurance Certificate - due now

Please send upload a copy of your Public Liability Insurance (PLI) certificate to Eventotron if you haven't already.  If your venue is covering your PLI, please obtain a copy of this and upload it. This is really important as it protects you, your venue and Midsumma Festival if an accident occurs to your audience.

Midsumma Festival Program Guide

Due to COVID-19 uncertainties, we had to sacrifice the physical magazine this year to give us the maximum possible flexibility and agility.
In it's place, we have created a great Flip-Through Guide that you can read online as though you were reading a paper brochure. Each listing is also hyperlinked to the event's web listing. Check it out HERE.
