Call for Proposals
Neuro-Oncology Symposium or Educational
Course in the Developing World

 

The Society for Neuro-Oncology is pleased to announce that it is now accepting proposals for a Neuro-Oncology Symposium or Educational Course in the Developing World. This initiative was introduced by Dr. Gelareh Zadeh, Chair of the International Outreach Committee, in 2014, and is supported by Dr. Mark Bernstein, the Greg Wilkins-Barrick Chair at the University Health Network, University of Toronto, with additional matching support from the SNO Foundation.


A maximum $10,000 award will be given, based on the budget presented in the proposal.


Proposals should outline the development of a multidisciplinary course relevant to specific regional needs in the field of neuro-oncology. Please submit a brief (under 1000 words) proposal that includes the following information:
•lead organizer(s) and institution(s)
•description of the host city and rationale for choosing this location
•approximate dates
•proposed topics/agenda
•proposed budget 


Proposal Submission Deadline - January 8, 2016

The selection will be made by the end of February, 2016. The successful applicant will be required to hold the course in 2017.
