Dear supporter,

The World Heritage Committee has made its decision in Bonn.

The world is still worried about the Great Barrier Reef.

It’s still worried about ports, the dredging, the chemical runoff and the damage to turtles and dugongs.

The world has stood up out of concern for the Reef.

Hundreds of thousands of people like you have taken action to keep the problems faced by the Great Barrier Reef at the top of the world’s agenda.

And that’s why the World Heritage Committee is going to keep the Reef on the World Heritage watch list.

That means the government will be under pressure to fight for the Reef.

We’ve taken your concerns to the World Heritage Committee. We can’t thank you enough for how hard you’ve fought.

The Reef is still in danger. The coral still needs you. The clown fish, the stingrays and even the sharks need you.

But we’ve shown what we can do together.

Share this graphic on your social media to show that the fight is not over, the Reef still needs us and together we will do what’s required for the future of the Reef.

And together we will make sure the Reef is protected for our kids and their kids.

Thanks,

Felicity

PS. Congratulations and thanks to the Fight for the Reef team from AMCS and WWF who have been at the meeting in Bonn to ensure the World Heritage Committee is still watching.
