CPC LEAD Students Perform Holiday Concert at Hong Ning Housing for the Elderly CPC’s Learn. Excel. Advocate. Dream. (CPC LEAD) program brought 33 students from the High School for Dual Language and Asian Studies to perform at Hong Ning Senior Housing for the Elderly in Manhattan's Lower East Side. Over 50 residents attended the music performance.
Successful Completion of CPC Queens Naming Campaign On December 31, 2018, CPC successfully completed our Queens Naming Campaign, raising more than $1 million for the CPC Queens Community Center in downtown Flushing.
On December 4, 2018, U.S. Congresswoman Grace Meng hosted a press conference announcing the launch of the New York City APA Complete Count Committee, organized by the MinKwon Center for Community Action, a member of New York Counts 2020.
CPC Service Learning Program Fundraises for the Innocence Project After hosting a screening of 13th, a documentary about race and mass incarceration in the U.S., participants of the CPC Service Learning Program brainstormed how to help. They decided to fundraise for the nonprofit legal organization the Innocence Project by selling hundreds of doughnuts.
On Friday, December 14th, CPC Brooklyn Community Services hosted our monthly birthday celebration for all our December Senior members. In the spirit of the holiday season, our senior services team, brought in the holiday cheers by incorporating a seasonal/holiday theme to our party.
Celebrating the Holidays with the "Good Service to the Seniors" Awards On December 20, 2018, CPC's Chinatown Senior Center hosted a Holiday celebration, which featured performances from the center's dace group, singing group, a fashion show, and an award presentation for the "Good Service to the Seniors" award.
