Didn’t the students do a terrific job at our Christmas Chapel? We were very proud of them!

Next Week

Bible - Our focus will be on the Christmas story this week using scriptures from Isaiah, Matthew, and Luke.
Memory Verse - Isaiah 9:6, “For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on His shoulders. He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”
Reading - Our story will be “Officer Buckle and Gloria.” Our skill will be Cause and Effect.
Spelling - We will continue to work on the pattern, Final Stable Syllable. This week, our words will have a double consonant in the middle of the word as well as the final stable syllable LE. Remember, the E is always silent. When you pronounce the word, you hear the /L/ at the end. The L is always preceded by a consonant. There are always at least 2 syllables. Final means END. Stable means you can count on it. Here are some examples: paddle piddle sizzle settle muddle
Grammar - We will work with Abbreviations.
Math - Whole numbers, mixed numbers, addition family to 15, half-dollar, and word problems

Important Dates & Information

Please remember to send heavy coats for recess. Be sure NAMES are in all coats and jackets. Also, in class, students need to have a navy sweater, sweatshirt or jacket. Thanks!
December 18th - Christmas Parties - students may wear Christmas sweaters, sweatshirts, or t-shirts for $1.00 to buy goats for Global Baptist Relief! Sorry, no parents may come to the party. Remember, there is a 1:00 dismissal on this day. We will walk students to cars beginning at 12:45. There is No Extended Care. PH bus will leave this campus at 1:00.
