Killed by ROADKILL

Ok...so here goes our latest and greatest news: Roadkill's Junkyard Gold came to Desert Valley Auto Parts!  Roadkill has a new show called Junk Yard Gold, that can be found on MotorTrend on Demand. Hosted by Steve Magnante, the show highlights his hunt for a junkyard rescue project car. The Roadkill crew is great, and I mean the whole team - from producer, sound men, camera guys and of course Dave and Mike. What you see on the show really happens and these guys 100% did not want our help cause, well... that's just what they do, and by that I mean they do everything! At one point the Arizona sun was just pounding on them and they had to get in the shade, so they needed to move the car they were working with, and we offered to help but, no help wanted. The car they chose was a '64 Ford Galaxie XL 4 speed. They chose a car that in most cases would be deemed as non running, and resurrected it back to life all while keeping it in the yard. Needless to say,  it was cool! I always liked the show but I can now say that I am a true fan!

If you are not familiar with Steve Magnante, you need to look into some of his stuff. He is a walking encyclopdiea of car history. Every time he visits our yards, he surprises me by finding something that I didn't know was there and he is a wealth of information. For this new show he travels around finding great gems in junk yards and the boys from Roadkill travel to check some of them out. If it all works out they take on a challenge and we were so lucky to be part of it. Not sure when the episode will air but we will post here when we are notified. I was able to get a few pics and little quick video of them driving off.
