Data entry for Enhanced Services

Area Teams may have commissioned the following enhanced services to their GP practices through CQRS:

  • Learning Disabilities Health Check Scheme
  • Rotavirus (Routine Childhood Immunisation)
  • Measles Mumps and Rubella (MMR) Catch Up
  • Childhood Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Programme
  • Routine Pneumococcal
  • Routine Shingles
  • Shingles Catch up (aged 79)
  • Seasonal Influenza

If you are participating in one or more of these enhanced services on CQRS, you will need to manually enter data for the 13/14 financial year.

To help support GP practices, CQRS has provided additional guides which are available on the CQRS website on how to manually enter data.

NHS England has sent out guidance for Seasonal Influenza

For CQRS to create a payment declaration, you must:

  • Enter your achievement for any payment indicators.
  • Set any management indicators to ‘0’.
  • Put the achievement date to the end of the payment period (I.e. achievement for the month of September should have an achievement date of 30/09/2013).

Please check with your local Area Team, for local arrangements on payments. Contact details for your local Area Team can be found here.

Details on these Quality Services, including Read codes and payment arrangements can be found on the NHS Employers website.

QOF 2013/14 and preparation for year- end

CQRS and GPES will support the automated extract and calculation of the QOF 2013/14.

The data for QOF 13/14 is expected to be visible to all practices and Area Teams, on CQRS, by early next year.

We are aware that GP practices are using local searches provided by GP system suppliers for QOF 2013/14 to see their performance and take any necessary action to improve it.

To help support GP practices to prepare for QOF 13/14 year end payments we are in the process of creating guidance for practices on what they will need to do in the run up to year end.

We will publish this guidance in January, along with further QOF information.

If you know of anyone that would benefit from this information, please ensure that they have signed up to this bulletin.

Reports available on CQRS

A number of reports have been created in order to support GP practices and Area Teams.  To access them, please click on the 'reporting' tab within CQRS.

For a full list of all the reports available on CQRS, please visit the reporting page.

GP practices may be interested in the following reports:

  • Achievement Summary

This report allows a GP practice to view the achievement for a specified quality service and achievement date. The report can be viewed at all the levels of the quality service (domain, clinical area etc) down to a detailed view of how each individual indicator was calculated.

  • User Access

This report is a table showing all the users setup for an organisation and their roles within CQRS.

GPES training and regional Awareness sessions

All GP practices must complete the GPES online training course to ensure they understand how to implement the service and participate in data extractions.

The GPES team will be conducting a number of awareness sessions around England to support this training. The aim of these sessions is to raise your awareness of GPES, including how it works and what you need to do to prepare; help you complete your training, and answer any questions you may have about the service.

These sessions are aimed at Practice Managers and others within a general practice who will use GPES. They can also be attended by Area Team representatives who would like to cascade the content of the Awareness session to the Practice Managers across their areas.

If you would like some further information on the location and timings of these sessions please click on the following link http://www.hscic.gov.uk/article/3473/Latest-news.
