$5 Food Quest
Café 1894 – Chicken Pita Pocket $3.50
This week’s selection was of decidedly high quality – Café 1894 offers some very elegant options, including a range of salads. Unfortunately, many of these options were an infuriating $1 over my small budget, although with its quality, that is to be expected. This week I aimed to get more than one morsel, but even the cheapest options left me short of adding a slice of cake to my lunch – which, I’ll add, are massive for their price. After some tough searching for something I could get, I got myself a Chicken Pita Pocket at $3.50, its small price being because of its size. It’s not the prettiest dish I’ve had, but it was certainly tasty, and very rich in tomato. It’s not completely filling, but all-in-all it’s a very satisfying lunch.

Lock your car
Over the last six months we have been experiencing an increase in vehicle thefts from our car parks. The Police are aware of the problem and our own security staff have been undertaking special patrols in the car parks. Staff and students are reminded to securely lock vehicles and not to leave items of value in plain sight. If any one sees anything suspicious in a car park, they need to call security on 0800 823 637 and officers will respond immediately. If you experience a theft, please report it to the Security Office at 114 Ilam Road.
