2022 Online Short Course | Clinical Rehabilitation

Dementia Rehabilitation

Dear All,

We are pleased to announce that we will be offering our online Dementia Rehabilitation short course this semester! The course will be open from the 10th October - 6th November.

This 2-day equivalent online course will explore optimal management and rehabilitation of those with dementia. Presentations and patterns of functional and cognitive decline, a review of current evidence and practice guidelines, cognitive assessment, how to promote independence, and managing behavioural and psychological symptoms will be explored.

The online course is organised into modules and delivered through the Flinders Learning Online (FLO) platform. Course content consists of written materials, video presentations and some activities to supplement your learning. The course also contains a question and discussion forum which will be monitored by our teaching staff who were involved in the development of the content.

Printed readings will be sent to you via post. These are provided to supplement your learning and are not required to progress through the course, so you are welcome to get started prior to these arriving in the mail. You will be issued with a certificate acknowledging your professional development upon completion of the course.
