Meet Chef Michael Smith, October 3

Sodexo Canada is pleased to host Chef Michael Smith, Canada’s best known chef, at the University of Lethbridge on Wednesday, October 3rd.

As the National Sustainability Advocate for Sodexo, he will be on campus cooking and serving food, as well as signing books, and speaking about sustainability.

U of L Aperture Lake Serves as Fire Department Training Location, Oct. 2

If you notice a large amount of Fire Department equipment, people and watercraft near Aperture Lake tomorrow morning, do not panic. 

The University of Lethbridge's Aperture Lake will serve as a hosting site for a Lethbridge Fire Department (LFD) dive training exercise on the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012.

Lady Gaga and the U of L -- What's the Connection?

Taras Polataiko’s (Fine Arts, Art) exhibition, Sleeping Beauty, at the National Art Museum in Kyiv, Ukraine, has generated considerable  worldwide media interest, including reports about  whether or not  theatrical musician Lady Gaga 'borrowed'  some elements of Politaiko's  exhibit for her own, more commercial, performance at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City.  Read more here.

Volunteers Required for English Language Tutor Program

The English Language Tutor Program is a service provided for International students who wish to be paired up with an English speaking volunteer from the University, in order to improve their English language skills.

The primary focus is conversational English, however tutors may also assist students with reading, writing, grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary.
