National Drug Conference of Ireland 2011

BelongToThe National Drugs Conference of Ireland "Drug Interventions: What Works?" will take place in Dublin on the 3rd and 4th November 2011, in the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin.

This years conference will build on the success of the 2010 conference, bringing together a range of national and international speakers from across the spectrum of addiction research, service provision and policy.

Delegate booking form, abstracts submission form, and further conference details are now available.

SWDTF Parenting Evening

NACDThe South Western Drugs Task Force are hosting a free evening for parents of children aged 10 - 17 years.

The event will explore some universal tips on positive parenting strategies for issues that can include suspected substance use in adolescents.

The event takes place on Thursday 2nd June at the Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge, Co. Kildare at 6:30.

Call for Research Participants

Waterford Institute of Technology and the Irish Needle exchange Forum are looking for participants to partake in a study that seeks to learn more about the drug mephedrone, and in particular, those who are (or have been) intravenous mephedrone users.

Out of a total of 302 respondents, the results were as follows:
