BGC Contracting awarded $720m Arrium contractBGC Contracting Pty Ltd has been awarded a new five-year contract by the Administrators of Arrium at its Iron Knob and South Middleback Ranges iron ore projects in South Australia. AusIMM Adelaide University Student Chapter - Student Meets Industry NightRESA took part in AusIMM's Adelaide University Student Chapter Student Meets Industry Night on March 23. The evening function was a great opportunity to share RESA's part in industry with students and build connections with those moving into the industry. RESA's Hot Rubble website is a useful tool for students, was great to see several students sign up to the Hot Rubble mailing list and social channels after the event.

Demolition begins at Port Augusta power stationThe western coal bunker, transfer tower H and associated connecting conveyors were successfully felled on March 6. With deconstruction of coal supply infrastructure taking place progressively through 2017, leading up to the building’s demolition in early 2018. View article

SA Government announces PACE Gas GrantsThe recipients of the first round of PACE Gas Grants were announced on March 17, with five exploration and development projects to share in $24 million in State Government funding. The five PACE Gas Grant projects comprise: - $5.82 million for the Senex-Santos Cooper Basin pipeline project
- $6 million for the Beach Energy Otway Basin exploration project targeting conventional reservoirs
- $3.96 million for the Santos Cooper Basin re-fracture stimulation project
- $6 million for the Santos Cooper Basin underbalanced drilling project
- $2 million for the first phase of the Strike Energy Cooper Basin deep coal project

Jubilee Platinum signs deal to develop Leigh CreekJubilee Platinum will jointly explore and develop Resilience Mining Australia’s (RMA’s) Leigh Creek copper mine (LCCM) and other copper tenements collectively owned or held by LCCM, in South Australia.
