Rugby World Cup 2012 - By Trassina Noble |
 |
It all began with a huge hiss and a roar, strange faces, strange accents, STRANGERS from all over the globe made their way out to Gravity Canyon, willing to throw themselves off a perfectly fine bridge. For the next month and a half the site was chaos, English men, Irish men, Namibians drinking our liquor fridge dry, putting smiles on our faces and keeping us on our toes. It was great to see these people brightening up our country with their rainbow coloured spandex outfits, trying so hard to hold in our giggles while harnessing up customers (it just seems to accentuate part of the male anatomy.) We have video footage of these people singing there national anthems for discounted
swings, some better than others. As the 23rd of October quickly crept up the day of the final had finally arrived, our lovely customers had made their way up country to Auckland ready for the big day. 9-8 to NEWZEALAND!!! Although the final was such a close game we still had mad respect for our French brothers, so being the kind kiwis that we are we offered all French passport holders a half price bungy. A couple weeks later we are sad to say that everyone had returned home to their own countries, on a brighter side our liquor fridge isn’t so empty anymore - over and out.

Big Day Out 2012 - Flying V |
 |
Scott, Nick, Anthea, Trissy and Shannan made the trip up to the big smoke to take part in the last ever Auckland "Big Day Out". Punters once again took time out from the sounds for some extreme thrills on the Flying V. V energy drinks sponsored the festival and asked us to set up and run the Flying V, a giant flying fox inside the 2012 Big Day out.
We ran the event last year and thrilled more than 400 BDO goers, both years. The Flying Fox ran 12metres high above the crowd and approximately 120m long, people were lined up in packs to take a ride on the Flying V.
It was a fantastic day and great opportunity for our crew to show off their rope and rigging skills, it also gave the crowd a taste of what they can expect on the 1.1km Flying Fox we have onsite.
Rumour has it we might be heading across the ditch for next years Australian Big Day Out Tour!!! For more pictures and blogs head to our Facebook page. |
