We are just coming to the end of our training calendar so you may find that there are no current dates for the courses that you are interested in attending.

We are in the process of finalising the course calendar for 2012/13 and we hope to have new dates for all our courses available in the next month.

If there are any courses that you are interested in please add your name to the waiting list on Trent and you will be contacted as soon as new dates are available.

Access 2007 Training

Having issues working with databases?
Our Access training courses are designed to help you get to grips with the features that Access has to offer.

Places are limited so please confirm your attendance by registering for this these courses as soon as possible and more dates will be added later in the year.

Access 2007: Using Databases
This short course will provide an introduction to the main features of Access, and enable you to enter data and extract simple information from an existing database.

Access 2007: Creating Forms
This course covers creating basic forms to enable data entry, viewing and editing records.

18 July

Access 2007: Creating Queries
Queries help you interrogate your data to view only records which match your criteria.

You can also use queries to update fields and create new tables. This course focuses on select queries and includes some grouping and aggregation (Totals queries).

Supporting Students

Asperger's Workshop I: Supporting students with Asperger's Syndrome

This course is for anyone who has contact with students or other visitors to the University, whether on a brief or ongoing basis.

This workshop provides practical advice on how to support students with Asperger's Syndrome, and strategies for successful interactions with people with Asperger's, whether a diagnosis is known or not.

Asperger's Workshop II: Understanding thoughts and behaviour

his course is for anyone who has contact with students or other visitors to the University, particularly those working on an ongoing basis with students.

This workshop follows on from Workshop I, and helps participants gain an understanding of the relationship between thoughts and behaviours and how this can explain some behaviours associated with Asperger's Syndrome.
