Harvest our Autumn special offer!

For those of you able to take a break at this time of year Cornwall really is a treat - we have been having an 'Indian Summer' with temperatures still warm enough for sea swimming and beautiful clear blue skies (and just look at all those berries on our hedgrows!). Although night time temperatures are now dropping its still a great time to explore Cornwall - especially if you love walking or visiting Cornish creeks and woodlands. With some great Cornish harvest and food events and our autumn special offer its a scrumptious time to visit! Don't forget we offer foraging walks at Bosinver with expert Emma Gunn too!

A new face at Bosinver !

Recent guests will have noticed a new addition to the Bosinver team - Pat and Dave's son Paul (pictured here holding a crayfish which was found in our stream during a recent habitat survey).

Paul and his young family ((wife Charlie, son Sam aged 2 and new baby Jasmine 8 weeks!) have moved down to Cornwall from Brighton where he previously worked for the Environment Agency. The hope is for them to settle here with Paul becoming more involved in the running of Bosinver - we doubt Farmer Dave will ever retire but an extra pair of hands will no doubt be most welcome!

Awards News

Pat and Dave have recently had the pleasure of representing Bosinver at two prestigious award ceremonies.  The first took place on 11th September at the St Mellion Golf Club where Bosinver was shortlisted for Best Rural Business in the Western Morning News Countryside Awards - sadly we didn't win (that honour went to Devon based Otter Brewery) but it was a great evening and an accolade to have been chosen as a finalist from the hundreds of entries.

We were also a finalist in the Cornwall Today awards held yesterday at the Headland Hotel Newquay. It was a great evening sponsored by jewellers No 1 King Street - Pat won a crystal watch in the draw but sadly that was to be the only trophy won by Bosinver that night. To be shortlisted in the final four in the category of Best Small Accomodation was however a great achievement and we would like to thank everyone who took the time and trouble to vote for us.
