I am excited to announce I have finished recording my new album - the follow-up to 2014’s Hendra. We are just mixing the last couple of tracks. Bernard Butler is involved again. The sessions which were recorded at London’s famous RAK Studios, where were joined among others, by Martin Ditcham (who played on Talk Talk’s Spirit of Eden) on drums and percussion, and Rex Horan (Laura Marling’s ‘Once I Was an Eagle’) on bass. The intended release date is spring 2016. Expect tour dates from spring onwards too. More news soon.

Our online shop has a few signed high quality art prints of the Hendra album art on sale. Very limited. I think we have about ten left. Be quick. There are also some signed Hendra CDs. (The vinyl has all gone, I’m afraid.) Also a handful of remaining signed first editions of Romany and Tom. And the usual catalogue selection.

Warming up for next year, I'm very honoured to be involved two great nights (Jan 31, Feb 1) as part of the Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow. Each one honours the music and legacy of seminal folk guitarist and songwriter Bert Jansch, raising money for the Bert Jansch Foundation. I perform with Bernard Butler. Other artists on the night include Robert Plant and Ryley Walker. The first night on Sun Jan 31 at the Old Fruitmarket is already sold out. A second night is now on sale at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.

Spotify users might be interested in my SpinCycle playlist. It is a regularly updated evolving mixtape of everything I am listening to. It is currently over eight hours long. I add tracks - new, old, rare - every couple of weeks.
