Advising for Students on Academic Review

Inline

On January 23rd we will make contact with all students in our college that are currently under academic review standing (probation or jeopardy of dismissal). As these students will have a registration hold which requires an advisor's signature during the advanced registration process, we are encouraging them to meet with their academic advisor early. We will provide step-by-step details of what these students need to do. If a student makes contact with you regarding this issue or has questions, please refer them to our office for assistance. Partnering with CJ201 and HTM101

Inline

The CCPS-UAC has partnered with some sections of CJ201 and HTM101 to pilot a program to encourage students to seek advising earlier in their academic careers. Students will be offered a small amount of credit by meeting with an academic advisor and completing a form before the end of February. This will encourage students to seek advising, develop an appropriate academic plan, and be aware of their requirements earlier in their careers. Thank you to those departments supporting this pilot! If your department would be interested in supporting this project in the future please let us know.
