Take your goody bag along and they’ll provide pens, glue and lots of crafty bits n’ bobs for you to decorate your peg nutcracker and hanging decoration. Don’t forget to write out your wish to hang on the wishing tree. SANTA The Big Man himself will be telling stories with the Elves on the main stage (see overleaf for details). Don’t worry, in between his storytelling, he’ll be available for pictures and to hear how good you’ve all been. Goody Bags All children with a ticket will receive a goody-bag on arrival. Your bag contains crafts to make Nutcracker themed decorations and toys. It also contains some treats to use throughout the interactive storytelling with Santa & the Elves. Wish Label: Write your wish for Santa and ask the elves to help you tie it on our wishing tree Mouse Mask: Cut out and decorate your mouse mask – don’t forget, the elves are on hand to help you cut it out if you need them to Nutcracker Peg: Take to the crafty area and the elves will show you how to turn this simple peg into an actual nutcracker! Nutcracker Decoration: Take all the little sticky bits out and dress your very own Nutcracker decoration! Everything else you’ll find in your bag will be used for Storytelling with Santa and the Elves. As all our events are pop-up timings may run over slightly; please bear with us; any pop-up hiccups that may occur please inform a member of staff so we can rectify – we want you to have as much fun as possible. PRACTICAL STUFF!14, 15, 16 December | Kirkstall Abbey | Leeds, Yorkshire We can't wait to welcome you to this years Christmas Festival. We would like to remind you, our guests, the elves rules are hard and fast....otherwise...well to be blunt...you'll go on the naughty list! ARRIVAL: Try to arrive at the time stated on your ticket - we've 2.5hours of jam-packed entertainment. You don't want to miss a minute of it. There is a pram area on the right as you enter the venue. GETTING HERE: Bus numbers 33, 33a and 757 travel from the city centre to Kirkstall Road. CAR PARKING: A large free car park is situated opposite Kirkstall Abbey, on Abbey Walk. This includes disabled access parking. PARKING - IMPORTANT: Most events have sold out,, so it is likely the Kirkstall Abbey car park will be full. There is available parking at the nearby Morrisons and also a free car park at Kirkstall Forge. Please leave enough time to park up - we cannot stress enough how busy it gets. PARKING - MORE IMPORTANT INFORMATION: As much as we don't like to say 'you're not allowed' - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not park on the main Kirkstall Road or Abbey Walk - or where the stones are parked by the car park. A clamping company will be operating these roads over the weekend. FOOD & DRINK: We have local, independent food and drink stalls offering plenty of choice including vegetarian and vegan food options. ARE THERE CASHPOINTS ONSITE: No, though some vendors will accept card payments. Please recognize this is a high volume outdoor event, so to help with the speed of sales, cash is preferable. WHAT IF IT RAINS: As with most outdoor events in the UK – rain won’t stop us having fun! Check the forecast and wrap up warm - it does get incredibly cold at night. Wear layers and bring a raincoat if bad weather is forecast. We will only cancel events in the case of extreme weather, such as dangerous high winds. We don’t give refunds if it rains. WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? Think weather appropriate but fabulous. We are based in Yorkshire. For visitors to the Abbey, this means the weather can sometimes be unpredictable. It gets very cold in the Abbey - especially at night, so make sure you wear your thermals. We encourage you to get into the spirit. Dressing up - glitter, feathers and face-paint are encouraged. WE HAVE FACE-PAINT & GLITTER STALLS - YAY!! HEALTH & SAFETY: Please seek out a steward or member of staff should you require first aid. TOILETS: We do have portaloos on site - however, the toilets in the Visitors Centre are a lot more child friendly and have changing facilities too. LITTER: Please please use the bins provided onsite or ensure you take all your rubbish with you when leaving. AGE RESTRICTION: Most time slots are is family-friendly event. We like to reserve the 8.30-11.00pm events for adults only. CAN I BRING MY DOG? Afraid not, sorry. I CAN'T FIND MY TICKET? Your email confirmation is your ticket, but don’t worry if you’ve mislaid it - just email us the name of the person booking and we'll re-send the email to you. You are welcome to bring your confirmation on your phone or printed copy. DISABLED ACCESS: Please be aware this event is on uneven ground. The ground is firm, however, if you have any specific enquiries, please email enquiries@sneakyexperience.co.uk We do have disabled toilets onsite. IS SMOKING PERMITTED? Please smoke outside the church. CAN WE PAY ON THE GATE: Saturday has sold out, We have limited availability for Sunday. Make sure you don’t miss out and get your tickets here ONE LAST THING CHRISTMAS BAUBLES: The elves at Sneaky Experience work hard behind the scenes to make sure everyone has the most fun possible but occasionally things don’t run to plan. As all our events are pop-up there are sometimes hiccups, please bear with us should any pop-up hiccups occur..
