us. universal stories

With a national / international interest and reach, the exhibition features work by significant contemporary artists whose practices tell stories about the human condition, transcending specific politics, culture, religion, gender, geographical location. At its best, contemporary art suggests narratives that reflect on our nature, our values, and our diversity to help us understand our world and make sense of each other.

Featured artists: Abdul Abdullah, Abdul-Rahman Abdullah, Lottie Consalvo, Richard Lewer with Felicity Law, Angelica Mesiti, Nell, Michal Rovner, Alex Seton, Chiharu Shiota, Christian Thompson and Sam Jinks.

we. wiyelliko

Wiyelliko is the Awabakal for speak, say, talk, converse, communicate. This exhibition explores the elemental response of contemporary Aboriginal artists to their environment: connecting ancestral Dreaming – earthly memories handed down by the world’s oldest living oral tradition – speaking with, speaking to and spoken by the elders and the elements themselves.

Featured artists: Nicole Chaffey, Jasmine Miikika Craciun, Nicole Monks, Lin Burrinja Onus and Arthur Koo'ekka Pambegan Jnr.
