The DEVELOP program concluded with a mock buyer panel for participants, with representatives from OZ Minerals, Ensign Energy, Design4Growth and the Department of State Development in attendance. Copper Strategy Success Workshop: Leading your organisation in an age of disruptive technologiesRESA is proud to present this workshop in conjunction with the Department of the Premier and Cabinet's Copper Strategy. The workshop will unearth some of the potential threats and opportunities businesses face from disruptive technologies and explore case studies of how South Australian businesses have risen to the challenge. Each participant will have the opportunity to develop an action plan and steps to progress their understanding and readiness for the next phase of the Resources Industry growth. Facilitated by Andrew Leunig Leunig Advisory, with presentations from Anthony Kittel REDARC and Mark Rankmore OZ Minerals. $50 per ticket, limited places, a light breakfast, morning tea and a networking lunch will be provided.
New exploration project for far-north South AustraliaArgonaut Resources intends to start a major drilling program next year, the Torrens project in the far-north of South Australia has 10 exploration targets each with the potential to host an Olympic Dam-sized deposit.
BHP continues cultural commitment as Tarnanthi festival principal partnerThe Tarnanthi Festival of Contemporary Aborignal and Torres Strait Islander Art is now on at venues throughout South Australia. BHP is again the festival's principal partner, after committing $17.5 million over five years to the Art Gallery of South Australia to sponsor the festival last year.
Work Experience Placement ProgramIn conjunction with University of Adelaide, and in collaboration SACOME, AusIMM and RESA is continuing the Work Experience Placement Program. Having already successfully matched 20 mining engineering students to work experience placement opportunities, RESA is continuing the search for suitable business to support undergraduates.
