With less than two weeks to go until the 3rd edition of the Africa Business Day which will take place in Schaffhausen at Georg Fischer on 12 June 2015, make sure you secure your place. 150 participants are expected to attend including CEOs, Members of the Board, Investors, Business Development Managers, Export Managers and representatives of African Embassies/Missions. Swiss-Kenyan Hotel Management School opens in Nairobi

As announced in the previous newsletter, the Boma International Hospitality College (www.bihc.ac.ke), a partnership between the Boma Hotel Group (www.bomahotels.com) and Alpine Center Switzerland (www.swissalpinecenter.com) opened on 25 May 2015 in Nairobi with students enrolling in the Swiss Higher Diploma in Hotel Management, Diploma in Culinary Arts and Diploma in F&B Operations. The new school offers Kenyans a top hospitality education based on the Swiss model, but in their own country and at affordable cost. This makes Alpine Center Switzerland the first renowned Swiss hospitality school to open a full-fledged subsidiary in Africa, in cooperation with a strong local partner. rainbow unlimited gmbh is the strategic partner of Alpine Center Switzerland for Africa. Expression of Interest - Business Trip Angola

The Swiss-African Business Circle, of which rainbow unlimited is the operational manager, will be organizing a business trip to Angola together with Switzerland Global Enterprise and in partnership with the Embassy of Angola in Switzerland and the Embassy of Switzerland in Angola. Update Swiss-African Business Circle

At the end of April, two Ministerial delegations from Congo-Brazzaville and Sudan presented their investment policy reviews at UNCTAD and Mr Dominique Aubert made a statement on behalf of the SABC during the comments section of the programme.

Upcoming events include the annual meeting with Swiss Ambassadors based in African countries which will be held in August. In September, the SABC will celebrate 5 years of existence and will be organizing a jubilee event to mark the occasion.
