2nd Grade eNews

We have had a great week of learning! Please remember your child needs to bring their Valentine’s Day box, no earlier than, Monday, February 12th. This does not need to be fancy!

• Bible – We are continuing to learn about Daniel. This week our focus will be Daniel 3.
• Verse - Psalm 34:4 “I sought the Lord and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears.”
• Reading – We will read a humorous fiction story this week entitled “The Signmaker’s Assistant.” Our skills will be Point of View and Text and Graphic Features.
• Phonics – Words with ar - car   dark   arm   star   park   yard   party   hard   farm   start   part   spark   art   jar   carpet   apartment
• Grammar – Commas in dates, places, and letters
• Math – We will take a test over subtraction with three digit numbers on Tuesday. Wednesday we will start learning about multiplication (equal sets, multiply with 2 and 5).

This is a great opportunity to learn about Shiloh, hear from our leadership, and visit with current students, families and teachers. • February 14 - Valentine’s Day Party 2:30-3:00-No tree nuts or peanuts, please!
• February 19 - No School- President’s Day
• February 23 - We will go to main campus to see 3rd grade’s Wax Museum, tour the campus, and have lunch. Students may bring their lunch or $4 for a school lunch.
• March 2 - Morning with Moms and Art Fair at 7:30
• March 7 - Spring Pictures, Free dress- modestly
• March 15 - Student Led Conferences, drop in 3:30-5:30
• March 19 - 23 -  Spring Break
• March 29 - Easter Chapel at 8:30 in the Cross Church Sanctuary, this is not an early dismissal day
