Partnership and Capacity Strengthening is at the heart of CRS’ approach to serving the poor and vulnerable. We are so happy to work with colleagues like you , who give life to that belief by showing they value partnership and capacity strengthening. Whether you’ve read our newsletter, participated in our community of practice, taken our courses, used resources from the ICS website, requested technical assistance, or attended Perfecting Partnership, we’d like to thank you!While we are grateful to you all, we want to take this opportunity to highlight just a few colleagues that our unit has worked with this year. Partnership and Capacity Strengthening Community of Practice For the continued high level of engagement of the community members, and special welcome to the 247 staff who formed the Global Community of Practice established this year. Perfecting Partnership Participants, their Country Programs and Regions For their active engagement and support that lead to the success of Perfecting Partnership 2018. Compass For promoting the importance of partnership and capacity strengthening as a crosscutting aspect to the 18 project management standards supporting high-quality projects that provide improved outcomes of the people we serve. The Gender Team For working closely with us to update the HOCAI and Assessment to Action Planning Workbook to include Gender Equality Integration as the 10th capacity area, which organizations can use to assess their organizational capacity. PEER Project For working with us to create a PEER project page on the ICS and engaging us to participate in the final project evaluation. The MEAL Team For engaging with members of our team in a variety of ways, including helping us to develop a MEAL in partnership and capacity strengthening session for Perfecting Partnership 2018. ICT4D Team For working with us to add 100+ ICT4D resources to the ICS website, so that they are easily accessible to our valued partners. As well as for engaging the Partnership and Capacity Strengthening Community of Practice to get a sense of what types of technology needs our partners have after a project. Farmer-to-Farmer For working closely with us to create a Farmer-to-Farmer project page on the ICS. Project Insight For allowing us to engage with the learning program rollout strategy. Various Regions and Country Programs For engaging us in supporting the country program needs (e.g. EARO, Guinea with the Global Fund, Cameroon KIDSS, and Cote de Ivoire GAVI projects) that resulted in identifying and drafting various partner’s financial management capacity strengthening needs. Top 5 Things We're Looking Forward to in 2019Working with colleagues throughout the agency to explore ways to reflect our agency’s best practices in partnership and capacity strengthening in the 2030 strategy roadmaps. Releasing new e-learning courses on Organizational Capacity Assessment and Action Planning, and Accompaniment! Including content from our Community of Practice in our newsletter. Working with our colleagues in Safegaurding to update the HOCAI so that we can help our partners to assess their capacity for safegaurding, and offer them resources to strengthen that capacity area. Collaborating with Finance, regional units, and country programs in developing courses to strengthen partner’s financial management capacity. Happy New Year,
