We’re recruiting! – Assistant Accountant vacancy

There is still time to apply for our Assistant Accountant vacancy. The closing date for applications is 31 May at noon with the assessment day planned for 7 June.  The main duty will be the preparation of annual accounts for a variety of third sector organisations and we are looking for someone with some prior accounting experience or relevant qualification, good communication skills and an ability to work to deadlines with an attention to detail.

June Finance forum - guest speaker

Our next Finance forum meeting takes place on 28th June in Bradford when the focus will be on VAT. We are delighted to have Rhona Graham as our guest speaker for the session. Rhona is a VAT specialist; having previously worked for HMRC and with 'Big 4' accountancy firm experience she now runs her own practice. Rhona will be providing an update on VAT issues for community organisations and be on hand for general queries. For more information about the finance forum please see our website.

Ramsomware

The Charity Commission has issued a warning to charities that they could be at risk from a ransomware attack after the recent serious case where NHS bodies in particular were amongst those badly affected.   We have attached the latest guidance from the National Guidance Security Centre.
