A new era of bookable product

NSW is stepping into a new era of global connectivity and bookable product, with 30 fresh visitor experiences unveiled at Destination NSW’s New Product Workshop now ready for international distribution.

Adding further momentum to the month that was, flights have also gone on sale for Western Sydney International Airport, opening new gateways into the state.

In this edition, we spotlight a curated mix of new and refreshed trade-ready stays and experiences across the state. 

 

30 NSW experiences ready for global distribution 

Destination NSW’s New Product Workshop showcased 30 visitor experiences now ready for global distribution, connecting international travel buyers with high‑quality, contractable NSW product.

Held at The Lands by Capella in Sydney, the annual appointment‑based workshop enabled NSW tourism businesses to present their experiences to inbound tour operators, domestic wholesalers and online travel agents.

Participating businesses were supported through the NSW First Program with practical, industry‑informed guidance to refine products for inbound markets, develop commissionable rates and engage confidently with key distribution partners.

The 2026 cohort included:

  • 12 businesses across Sydney, including four from Western Sydney
  • 18 businesses from regional NSW, including six from Byron Bay
  • 10 businesses that operate in NSW National Parks
  • Eight businesses with sustainability certification or accreditation
  • Four Aboriginal–owned and -operated businesses, and another five businesses working in partnership with Aboriginal communities

Sydney’s new gateway now on sale

Sydney’s new aviation gateway, Western Sydney International Airport (WSI), has taken an exciting step forward with its first international tickets now on sale ahead of the October 2026 opening. Sydney will soon operate as a dynamic dual-airport destination, alongside Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD).

Early services, including trans-Tasman routes and announcements from carriers such as Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines, mark the beginning of operations at the new 24-hour international hub. Designed with a strong focus on passenger experience, WSI will introduce modern terminal facilities and integrated digital technology to support a seamless journey.

For distribution partners, a reminder to check client itineraries carefully moving forward, ensuring transfers and onward travel align with the correct airport as Sydney enters its dual-airport phase.
