Driving your vehicle at highway speeds with windows open or the top down exposes all people in the vehicle to noise levels at about 105dB. Motorcycles can be loud, but it's the wind that we tend to forget about. Wearing a helmet can only reduce exposure by an average of 3dB. As we move out into our summer routines we take for granted the things that generate noise.
- Lawn mowers (88-94dB)
- Chain saws (100dB)
- Weed whackers (94-96dB)
- Circular saw (100-104 dB)
- Gun shot (140dB-160dB)
