Dear Business Partner,

meteocontrol has repositioned itself on the U.S. photovoltaic market. Together with our cooperation partner viasys Intelligent Video GmbH, we will provide a turn-key solution for the monitoring and theft protection of solar parks. What that means for our customers: a simplified technical operation management and significant cost savings. The core part of this joint solution is the high-performance alarm management that we constantly improve on the basis of a sophisticated data evaluation.

Billing procedure based on measured values for yield loss

Downwards regulations by grid operators cause yield losses for system operators. According to the German Renewable Energy Law, the flat-rate billing procedure (Pauschalabrechnungsverfahren) or the billing procedure based on measured values (Spitzabrechnungsverfahren) may be used to compensate for this. Both procedures are specified in the German Federal Network Agency’s guidelines on grid feed-in management.

The flat-rate billing procedure is already available in VCOM. Effective immediately, yield loss arising from the downwards regulation can be calculated according to the billing procedure based on measured values as well. The amount of electricity not fed into the grid can be automatically calculated in the ticket in the Yield Loss tab based on the measured irradiance during an applicable reference period prior to the grid feed-in management measure.

Creating VCOM API keys in the administration interface

From now on, our partners at the Basic, Professional and Premium service levels can activate their included VCOM API key in the administration interface. To do so, open the administration interface (or use the shortcut key “S”) in the control center. Only administrators have access to this menu item.

The VCOM API (Application Programming Interface) is an easy-to-use interface for retrieving data and connecting the VCOM to other systems, such as ERP solutions. With the VCOM API, you can retrieve both measurement data and technical data for your systems. The interface also allows access to your tickets.

Power plant controller made by meteocontrol is managing
one of the largest zero-feed-in PV systems in Turkey

[Graphic: Blue line]

In cooperation with the inverter manufacturer KACO new energy GmbH, meteocontrol has implemented the complex park regulation for one of the largest zero-feed-in PV projects in Turkey. The photovoltaic system erected by the EPC service provider Altungrup Solar Enerji provides 90 percent of the power needed each day to run the warehouse operated by Reysaş REIT in Antalya. The power plant controller made by meteocontrol manages the inverters’ power in response to energy needs. If power production begins to exceed demand, the power of the system will be limited. As a result of grid feed-in regulations, it is possible to implement a zero feed-in throughout Turkey.
