ATTENTION SWORN FIREFIGHTERS: We are currently signing up sworn firefighters to "Shake the Boot" at the 2015 Firefighters “Fill the Boot for Burns” Boot Drive!

The Firefighters Burn Institute will hold its annual Boot Drive fundraiser on President’s Day Weekend, February 12th-15th, 2015 in conjunction with National Burn Awareness Week.

This annual fundraiser is the single most important source of donations for the Firefighters Burn Institute. Dozens of burn recovery, education, prevention, scholarship and burn care programs depend on the success of the annual “Fill the Boot for Burns” Boot Drive event. With your help, 2015 will be another incredible year for donations. Every hour of your volunteer time is appreciated! We can’t do it without you!

The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) recently conferred a bronze-level Beacon Award for Excellence on the Firefighters Burn Institute Regional Burn Center at UC Davis Medical Center, Sacramento.

The Beacon Award for Excellence recognizes unit caregivers who successfully improve patient outcomes.

I let everyone that I talk to about our charity know that Sacramento really has the best burn care anywhere in the world! With our two excellent burn units at UC Davis Hospital and Shriners, the people of our community really are very lucky to have this resource right in our back yard. Firefighters Kids Camp 2015

Livermore, CA
July 25-30 2015

Camp attendance is free of charge to burn survivors ages 7-17.

Camp Arroyo’s natural wildlife and native California trees will form the backdrop to the best camp season yet! Campers will enjoy swimming in the Olympic-size pool, horseback riding, archery, hiking, arts and crafts, kayaking in Lake De Valle, rock climbing and much, much more! We look forward to seeing all of our campers from 2014 and many new faces as well.

Kid’s Safety Fair at the Citrus Heights Boot Drive

Join us for our FREE Safety Fair and Fire Department Demonstrations on Saturday, February 14, 2015 from 11am - 2pm.

The Firefighters "Fill the Boot for Burns" Boot Drive Safety Fair is a great place to bring your family and learn valuable safety information. This free event will be held in the Sunrise Mall parking lot on the corner of Sunrise Blvd. and Greenback Lane in Citrus Heights.

Attractions include:

  • Helicopter Landings,
  • Rappelling Demonstrations,
  • Jaws of Life Demonstrations,
  • Fire Engine, Fire Truck & Ambulance Displays,
  • Clowns, Face Painting Booths, Games and Give-A-Ways!
