Gardens Explorers - First Place In Region
Third year in a row for Law Enforcement Challenge !

Our Palm Beach Gardens Police Explorers have won the First Place Trophy in the 2016 Law Enforcement Challenge! This is their third successive year in winning the First Place Trophy.

The Law Enforcement Challenge is an annual career skills competition for Law Enforcement Exploring Posts. Participants compete in scenario-based events simulating law enforcement activities such as building searches, active shooter situations, high-risk traffic stops, domestic disputes, and crisis intervention. The Explorers' performance is evaluated by active duty law enforcement officers serving as judges. This year's event was held at the Martin County Fairgrounds in Stuart, FL. Twelve Posts from South Florida competed in the competition.

In addition to winning the Overall First Place Trophy, Palm Beach Gardens Explorers also took First Place trophies in the Active Shooter, Building Searches, Domestic Violence, and DUI categories as well as a 3rd place trophy in Felony Stops and Physical Agility testing.

The Explorer Post receives financial support from the Palm Beach Gardens Police Foundation as one of our Youth Outreach programs. The Post is managed locally by Palm Beach Gardens Police Officers Jason Sharon and Stacey Clayton and comes under the umbrella of the Gulf Stream Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Police Exploring is a program for young men and women aged 14 to 21. Its aim is to provide real world career experiences and develop other critical skills for success in college and a career including Leadership Development, Character Development, Social and Professional Skills and Community Service.

The Palm Beach Gardens Police Foundation congratulates the members of the Palm Beach Gardens Police Explorer Post on their very successful Challenge participation.
