Double pass to Tijuana Cartel Sat & Sunday at Mojos up for grabs..
Check this very short hilarious tune by Warp Records producer Clark, while you're with us! hee hee
Lyndon Blue is first and foremost a musician. He played in the orchestra led by Ennio Morricone. Below, glean Morricone's dress sense, manner of encouragement & just perhaps why he doesnt need to speak English.
Amber Fresh saw Bonnie Prince Billy IN A CAVE. Amber takes us underground like only she can.
Christopher Isaacs caught Rauol at the Regal Theatre. Review appears In The Black Box.
Tahlia Palmer interviews Leigh Craft about his travels to Melbourne & back to Perth and how that greatly energised his music.
To be in the running for a double pass to Tijuana Cartel just respond here! First in best dressed.
February is a hard month for the music venues - given all the short stay events - we urge you to get out and support those rooms that present live original music 365 days a year!

Bonnie Prince Billy @ Jewel Cave, Margaret River, Friday 24th February 2012
This is a difficult task. And so I’ll start with a story. Imagine you have the great fortune to speak with one of the only people in the world whose music you almost can’t bear to listen to, because it connects with something inside of you that you prefer to keep covered over. And then you get to speak with them and it’s all a disaster. My eyes nearly welled up with tears after I’d interviewed Bonnie Prince Billy for Six Thousand. I was mortified. My heart had started beating so incredibly fast that it made my mouth not able to speak. Seconds upon seconds passed, fat seconds hanging out in time, swollen up with all the unused possibilities for information...

The Flower Drums: An Interview with Leigh Craft
Last year, I met a boy named Leigh Craft via Facebook. We had heaps of mutual friends, we were both from Perth and were living in Melbourne, he liked my photographs and I liked his music, so Facebook friends we became. We got to talking, I offered to take photos for him and introduced him to my music producer boyfriend, Aden Senycia, and before we all knew it, we (or more specifically, Leigh and Aden) had an interesting creative intertwinement that has yielded a bunch of super high quality tunes, with more on the way. Listeners of Perth radio station RTR may have heard The Flower Drums EP “Shadows Aren’t Real” played a bit in the last 6 months, and Perth locals may have seen them play live at various venues.

Once Upon A Time in the West: Four Days With Ennio Morricone in Perth
Last Thursday, after spiralling dreams of gunfights, gangsters, lovers, spies and missionaries, I awoke with a start. It was five in the morning – but I felt oddly spritely, so I made some food and hot tea, pottered around, read a bit, and watched the light fade in through the scattered summer clouds. I welcomed my peculiar dawn-time alertness. Even if I’d been tired, I still wouldn’t have gotten back...
