4th Grade eNews
Thank you for coming to see us this week at conferences! This newsletter will cover the week after Spring Break. We hope you have a wonderful, relaxing week with your family. See you March 27th!
Academics (March 27-31)
-
Bible: We will be learning the value of Evangelism and how to share our faith.
-
Memory Verse: Matthew 28:19-20, “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Spelling: Our words will have the -er suffix.

Reading: We begin our study of problem solving and making predictions and begin the novel Millie Maven and the Bronze Medallion

Language: Daily Language Review (grammar skills); Review and test over ch. 8- mixed patterns 1 and 2. Then complete a descriptive writing assignment

Math: Begin Geometry study
-
Social Studies: Continue our study of the Civil War and also daily geography.

Science: Begin Ch. 10 study of the earth’s resources.
Important Dates

March 20-24: Spring Break! No School

March 27: Speech Meet Judging (Easter Poem)

March 31: Morning with Mom, Art Fair

April 10-14: Achievement Testing (please do not schedule appointments during these school days!)

April 6: Easter Chapel

April 7: Good Friday- we will NOT have school this day.
Reminders

Please send a labeled coat for when we are able to go outside. Also, any jackets worn in the classroom are to be navy blue.

Your child should bring his/her recorder and envelope to school on their music day each week.
