Richardson Terrace Pump Station update

August 31 2018

We’re continuing work constructing a pump station in Richardson Terrace, to reduce flood risk in the Bells Creek area and improve the quality of water discharging into the Heathcote River.

The works to construct a new stormwater pump station and stormwater treatment device at 12 Richardson Terrace are progressing well, with the main structures complete and the majority of the above and below ground works completed. We are well underway with the next stage installing the equipment and completing the above ground works.

Due to the discovery of unknown earthquake damage to the wastewater pipeline in Richardson Terrace we have had to delay completion of the works in the road corridor while we fix the wastewater pipe.

As a result the current road closure on Richardson Terrace will remain in place until these works are completed. We will open the road to traffic as soon as it is safe to do so.

For your safety, please keep away from the construction works area and adhere to all safety signage.
