As indicated earlier, progress has been made on some matters however funding the pay gap remains one of the key issues. Unfortunately, we were unable to resolve this funding issue gap at bargaining over the last two days. What next? We have bargaining scheduled on the 27th of January, but bargaining alone is unlikely to resolve the impasse. We need your help now to advance the important issue with funding decision makers. Right now we are asking you to share your thoughts about the pay gap in a survey here. We will use your words to craft a email campaign and supportive media before we head into bargaining next. Practically, if we are to make progress on the funding gap we will need demonstrate our collective commitment to resolving the issue. Doing the survey is the very first way you can show you are serious about removing the pay finding gap. Ngā mihi, Chris Wilson on behalf of your negotiation team. |
