A Message from the Chief of Police
As we all struggle to make sense of these uncertain times, Chief of Police Brian Smith has asked us to help communicate to you that Juno Beach residents can be assured that members of the Juno Beach Police Department are operating at full strength and are continuing to fulfill their sworn duty to respond to your calls without hesitation in order to keep us all safe.
Chief Smith says:“Our first and foremost mission remains the same
- to maintain public safety and order, while enforcing the
law.
Our Juno Beach Police Officers are on the front lines of this pandemic, doing what they do best; preparing, identifying and minimizing any risks they encounter while facing new challenges every day".
It is important to note that the Police Department will continue to respond to all calls for service. Officers will attempt to handle all calls while utilizing a safe distance of six
(6) feet, so please be responsible and understand this is a preventative measure. Protocols and response plans will be continually re-evaluated and adjusted as appropriate.
Meanwhile, the Juno Beach Police Foundation is working closely with the Department’s
Command Staff to respond to whatever needs that may arise for increased training, equipment or technology; and to help support those members who may be stricken with illness.
It’s never been more critical to stay connected with one another, even as we practice social distancing to reduce transmission, and keep each other healthy and safe. The Foundation’s secondary aim therefore is to continue keeping you informed about the operations of the Juno Beach Police Department during this difficult time.
We are asking all residents to reach out to seniors,
especially those living alone. Use the phone to make
sure they are ok and to evaluate their possible needs. A friendly
neighbor’s voice goes a long way to those home alone
during these times. A thriving residential and business community is one reason
Juno Beach has been a great Town. We all need to
help keep it that way.
Stay safe and help protect others by “following the
rules”.
In his message to the residents, business owners and visitors to the Town of Juno Beach, Chief Smith says:
“I am confident that our community will get through this public safety concern. You can rest assured that your law enforcement officers will continue to provide a solid response with no interruption in services. Thank you for your continued support as we navigate this challenge, and I hope everyone remains healthy and safe.”
