Stamp Duty Exemption for 1st Time Buyers

In March 2010 it was announced that there would be a stamp duty holiday for first time buyers for two years from 25 March 2010.

This means that any first time buyer purchasing a property priced between £0 - £250,000 during this period is not required to pay stamp duty. This exemption from stamp duty comes to an end on 24 March 2012. Read more>

However, the Courts have the power to vary the terms of them.
