OKLAHOMA TORNADO UPDATE: HOPE FORCE RESPONDS

Hope Force International is responding to the Oklahoma tornado outbreak that took place between May 18-21, sending teams of experienced staff and Reservists from 8 states to bring practical help and emotional and spiritual care. At least 60 tornadoes were confirmed, with several suburbs of Oklahoma City experiencing the worst of the damage. Officials are estimating more than $2 billion in damages as a result. Read More »

RELIEF FOR THE MARCON FAMILY

On their first work day in Newalla, the assessment team applied tarps to the roof of Jason and Kerrie Marcon’s home. The Marcons’ house is the first on a street that Hope Force plans to evaluate in the coming days. Although severe destruction was not immediately apparent, their entire roof had to be tarped to avoid internal damage.

SUPER STORM SANDY RECOVER EFFORTS CONTINUE IN ATLANTIC CITY

Hope Force International continues to serve in the long-term recovery efforts in Atlantic City and is sending out an SOS for help. Construction teams are needed to assist in the difficult but rewarding task of rebuilding damaged homes and restoring hope.

HAITI UPDATE

Cementing a good foundation

Hope Force International (HFI) has a goal to build 25 homes this year. For Hope Force, it is very important that recipient family members participate in building the house to instill pride and ownership, rather than creating a sense of dependency. HFI has strengthened its “qualifying program” to encourage even more owner participation in the process.
