'Kōtui' consortium confirmed for CMUA design & build

A consortium of businesses has been confirmed as the successful tenderer for the design and construction of the Canterbury Multi-Use Arena (CMUA).

The consortium, called Kōtui, will bring together local and international expertise to design the $473 million state-of-the-art arena that will re-establish Canterbury as a premier sporting and events destination in New Zealand.

Decontamination works to start

Decontamination works will begin after Easter, to prepare the Canterbury Multi-Use Arena site for the early construction phase.

Work will include removing and disposing of coal tar, ACM pipes and contaminated hotspots that have been identified across the site.

All fibre works on the site have been completed, and RCP has been appointed to provide project management/design management services.
