Register your interest – funding transmission feesBroadcasting Minister Kris Faafoi has announced the first of two media sector support packages to help media severely impacted by COVID-19. One of the initiatives of this package is to reduce the costs payable by media organisations for transmission by funding 100 per cent of Kordia TV/FM transmission fees for 6 months and 100 per cent of RNZ AM transmission fees for 6 months. Manatū Taonga Ministry for Culture and Heritage is exploring how we might extend this support to other transmission providers. If you are a transmission provider and would like to find out if you are able to take part in the scheme please contact support.media@mch.govt.nz for more information. If you are a media organisation currently paying transmission fees please visit Media Sector Support Package page or email support.media@mch.govt.nz for more information about the scheme. |
