Swarming bees will cluster in a ball formation and hover around eaves, letterboxes, bins, trees or a water source, but usually move on after a few hours or a day or two. The Town of Victoria Park's Depot verge is putting on a fabulous display for spring. It has been just over a year since the verge was renovated with an array of native plants and waterwise exotic plants. Five different styles of landscaping are explored – a succulent theme, wave pattern, endemic re-vegetation species, a cottage theme, and a grass theme. The front grounds also had a waterwise makeover, incorporating seasonal everlasting beds which will be in full flower throughout spring. The Depot's verge serves as an example for residents to gain inspiration to design their own verge landscape and reap the rewards of the Town’s Adopt-a-Verge program. Please feel free to visit 199 Star Street, Welshpool and have a look.
