Highlight: Paula Chambers to visit Brown!


Paula Chambers, PhD, Founder and CEO of Versatile PhD, will be speaking on Saturday, October 29! After a varied career that has included jobs in film and grant writing, Paula finally realized that helping academics find non-academic careers, as she had done herself, was her true calling. She founded Versatile PhD in 2010 and her workshop at Brown is titled "From Transferable Skills to Job Market Results: Discovering Your Versatility and Showing It!".

This interactive workshop, which kicks off with lunch at noon, focuses on:

  • Understanding the value of graduate skills in non-academic careers
  • Identifying YOUR personal transferable skills and results achieved
  • Creating an adaptable, engaging resume
  • Demonstrating your versatility to employers

Registration is required, and space is limited, please complete the graduate student registration or the postdoc registration, as applicable.
